A

Flights will not be planned to operate at any point >60 minutes from an “Adequate” Airport computed in still air w/ 1 engine inop.

Paperwork will contain weather and NOTAMS for the Adequate Airports for the these area:

L-453 and East
Routes to/from Alaska

A

An “Adequate en-route Airport” has:

  • runway
  • navigation
  • communications
  • emergency facilities suitable for the aircraft type
  • runway length allows for a full stop landing within 60% of the effective length of the runway.
  • Weather (wind only)
