FMA Flashcards
SRS or Speed reference system, will do what speed during take off with Two engines?
V2+10
In an engine failure is detected on takeoff, SRS will do what speed?
The GREATER of V2 or current speed, limited to V2 + 15.
What does SRS provide during a GO AROUND?
The GREATER of Vapp or current speed, up to VLS+ 25.
When will you exit SRS mode?
At acceleration altitude or another vertical mode is engaged.
Does SRS mode protect against high pitch attitude and provides at least a minimum climb rate?
Yes
During wind shear, SRS provides specifically adapted escape guidance. How can you engage this mode?
Thrust levers at MCT or TOGA.
What is armed automatically when SRS is engaged.
Managed Climb mode; SRS will arm automatically on the ground or another vertical mode is engaged
What does “RWY” mode do?
Steering guidance during takeoff and initial climb if a localizer signal is available.
Will not engage if offset localizer.
If in RWY mode, when will NAV Mode engage automatically?
30’ RA after takeoff
On the ground, is A/THR armed or active by setting the thrust levers to FLEX or TOGA detent?
Armed (At least one flight director must be on).
In Managed CLB, if LNAV is disengaged, what ascent mode does the system revert to?
OP CLB
In Managed Descent, if LNAV is disengaged what decent mode does the system revert to?
V/S mode
DUAL indicates that the automatic landing system is “Fail Operational.” An automatic landing could be completed in the event of a single-point failure below Alert Height.
Did you get all that?
Below 400’ RA “LAND” indicates what?
LOC and GS Modes are locked. No action on the FCU will disengage the LAND Mode.
FLARE and ROLL OUT modes will successively engage.
At 40’ RA “FLARE” indicates that the autopilot is doing what?
Aligning the yaw axis with the runway centerline and flaring in pitch.
If A/THR is active during an autoland, thrust is automatically reduced to idle.
