Q

Interactive Model Strengths

A
  • Feedback is added to the Linear Model
  • Encoding and Decoding Meaning is added (Same for Source & Receiver)
-Wilbur Schramm: The more the communicators’ field of experience overlap, the better they understand each other

Q

A
  • Communication is not one-way but simultaneous
  • Communication changes over time as a result of what happens between people

Q

Transactional Model Strengths

A
  • Dynamism is added to the model as ‘dynamism is not captured’ - Wood
    • Simultaneous - not linear or sequential
    • No existence of the Sender vs Receiver distinction
    • Volatile
      • With more shared experiences, this intersection increases
