PT time and risk for bleeding may increase w/ warfarin
certain oral glycemics may cause hypoglycemia
increased metabolism of fluconazole w/ rifampin
adverse effects
nausea, vomiting, diarrha
serious adverse effects
stevens-johnson syndrome in immunosuppressed patients
responsibilities
monitor BUN, serum creatinine, and liver function lab tests
assess for allergic response
assess for hepatotoxicity
teaching
report signs of liver toxicity
if diabetic, maintain blood sugar control
disclose all meds
report signs of drug allergy, known or suspected pregnancy
