Myasthenia Gravis
A
- autoimmune response to acetylcholine receptors
- weakens voluntary muscles w/ use, improves w/ rest or Tensilon
- reduced tongue endurance, inspiratory stridor, worsening of dysarthria during stress testing

- damage to one+ cranial or spinal nerves
- lesion btwn brainstem and spinal cord
- Chiari malformations, Guillain-Barré syndrome, ALS, Myasthenia Gravis

A
- muscle weakness
- reduced muscle tone
- reduced ROM

A
- fasciculations/atrophy of tongue
- unilat poor elevation of soft palate
- weak cough & coup
- nasal regurg
- dysphagia, drooling
- hypoactive gag

A
- hypernasality
- imprecise consonants
- breathiness
monopitch/monoloudness - harsh/hoarse VQ
- short phrases
- diplophonia
- vocal flutter
- increased breaths per minute
