A

Measure angles between three objects and then use a station pointer to get a fix

How would you fix your position using VSA?

A
  1. Take bearing of object and find its height (chart or admiralty list of lights and fog signals) taken from MHWS.

2.Get a VSA using a sextant.

  1. Insert height and VSA into Norries table to get a range. (There is also a mathematical formula that can be used.)
  2. Corrections are to be made for HoT, HoE and sextant index error.
