What would you as an OOW do when encountering restricted visibility?

A
  1. Reduce to safe speed
  2. Sound appropriate sound signal
  3. Call ER and have engines ready for immediate manoeuvre
  4. Call the master
  5. Plot position
  6. Radar performance monitor
  7. Post additional lookouts
  8. Stop any loud works on deck
  9. Close W/T doors
  10. Post a helmsman
  11. Make sure correct lights are displayed
  12. Commence plotting targets on the radar
