You’re on watch, there is a fire in the engine room. Procedure?
F.I.R.E
Find -
Find the fire using the CCTV in the bridge, send lookout to investigate and tackle the fire immediately(I am not to leave the bridge until properly relieved), I would fix my position and slow down
Inform -
Inform the master, Inform the crew and passengers to muster and make sure everyone is safe(Sound Continuous ringing), Inform other vessels in the vicinity (MAYDAY), Inform shore authorities and DPA
Restrict -
Turn vessel downwind, shut off ventilation, close watertight- and fire-doors
At this point I would expect the master to take the CON so I can proceed to muster. I would commence boundary cooling
Extinguish -
By the command of the master I can close the fuel cut off valve.
By the command of the master I would release the fixed fire fighting system, making sure no one is inside the engine room, ventilation is shut off and doors are closed.
Escape - If fire is out of control I would by the command of the master prepare to abandon ship
FFE Weekly checks? (5)

Lamp test on the FFS panels
Lamp test on the fire door panel
