Definition: Aerobic Power
The ability of the cardiovascular and respiratory system to supply fiel and oxygen to the muscles and the ability of the muscles to use the oxgyn for physical activity. It is the rate of energy production via processes that involve oxygen.
Definition: Anaerobic Capactiy
The total amount of energy obtainable from the anaerobic energy systems. (the combined of the ATP/PC system and the anaerobic glycolysis system).
Definition: Muscular Power
The ability to exert a force rapidly over a short period of time
Definition: Muscular Strength
The maximal force that can be generated by a muscle or muscle group in one maximal effort.
Definition: Muscular Endurance
The ability of a muscle or group of muscles to sustain repeated contractions against a resistance for an extended period of time.
Definition: Speed
How fast you move your body, or body parts from one point to another
Definition: Agility
The agility to change direction with maximal speed and control
Definition: Flexibility
The capacity of a jiont to move thrugh its full range of motion
Definition: Body Composition
The relative proportions of bone, muscle and fat within the body
Definition: Balance
The ability to maintain equilibrium whilst in a fixed position (static) or moving (dynamic)
Definition: Coordination
The ability to use different parts of the bidy together smoothly and efficiently
Definition: Reaction Time
The time between a stimulus and the first response
