Abducts digits 2-4 , flex metatarsal phalangeal joints

O-Each head arises from medial side of metatarsus 3-5 and sheath of peroneus longus
I- Medial side of base of proximal phalanx of same digit
Plantar interossei action/innervation
Adducts digits 3-5 at MP joint toward second toe
Flexes MP joint and extends PIP DIP joints of 3-5
