What are SLAP tears?
Superior Labrum-Anterior and Posterior
What is bad about SLAP tears?
They do not heal properly because of poor blood supply
How are slap tears fixed?
They need to staple the labrum back to the socket
What is a bankart tear?
leisons where the labrum becomes disatched from the front of the glenoid socket
When people have IT band pain what other issues do they have?
They also have core issues with strength and weak core muscles
What are some causes for IT band pain?
- Arches in the feet
- Different leg lengths
- Over pronation of the foot
what are some treatments for IT band pain?
- Strengthen hip abductors
- Strengthen core
- Swimmig

On the lateral side of the knee
What are 3 potential diagnosis of shin splints?
- Anterior or posterior tibiallis muscle tendinitis
- Stress fractures of tibia
- Compartment syndrome

What is the treatment for shin spilts?
Rest, Ice, Elevation
-Strengthen soleus and hip abductors
What is patella tendiniitis? Jumpers knee
-Inflammation of the patella tendon from jumping or running
What is the treatment for patella tendinitis?
- PRICE
- Isotonic for quads and abductors
- Polymetrics
How ong does it take to heal patella tendinitis?
3-6 weeks of rehab
What are some common muscles pulled in the body?
- Quads
- Adductors
- Hamstrings

Because they are 2 joint muscles

- PRICE

What is the intermediate phase for ACL rehab?
- Closed chain kinematics CKC’s
- lasts 2-8 weeks
Late phase of rehab for ACL repair?
- 8+ weeks
