A

There are large samples, so 1900 babies and their primary attachment figures, this is a strength because it increases internal validity by reducing anomalous results which is caused by very unusual participants

(Think of it as attendance, if there were for kids in one class and one didn’t attend, attendance would be dropped to 75% however if it was a class with a 100 kids, attendance would drop to 99%)

Ainsworth was an American who designed the strange situation based on a British theory (Bowlby), This can be seen as imposed etic (cultural universals)
-e.g., A lack of separation anxiety and pleasure on reunion is seen as insecure attachment but in Germany this is seen as independent and a good thing
