What is the main specificity of the infant vests?
Contrary to standard life vests, they should be inflated inside the aircraft before getting out of it.
How would the ELT trigger when in the “Armed” position?
It would trigger via a G-switch.
When a certain G-force is applied to the airplane (hence to the ELT), it will start emitting.
The force required to trigger the inertial activation is equal to 5Gs (+2, -0) along the longitudinal axis of the plane.
