Control measures in case of EIA – likely additional question

  • Isolation, housing in stable
  • Disinsectisation
  • Slaughter diseased and infected animals
  • Suspected of being diseased
    Movement restriction
    Clinical exam + samples every 3 weeks until can confirm or exclude
  • Suspected of being contaminated
    Movement restriction
    Clinical exam + samples every 3 weeks until can confirm or exclude
    For minimum 90 days // maximum incubation period
  • Transport only to slaughterhouse, closed vehicle
    Unloading: with official veterinary check, strict vehicle disinfection
  • Pasture considered infected for 6 months
