A
painless
acute, unilateral
segmental redness (often laterally)
foreign body sensation
watery eye
dilated episcleral vessels

management of episcleritis
A
generally resolves on its own within a month
mild cases: simple analgesia, cold compress, lubricating eye drops

what can be offered for severe cases of episcleritis
A
systemic NSAIDs (naproxen)
topical steroid eye drops
