During an evacuation, what must the First Officer take with him?
The First Officer must take the crash axe and Halon Extinguisher.
For what type of fire would a Water extinguisher be used for?
Class A Fires (wood, paper, fabric, rubber)
For what type of fire would a Halon extinguisher be used for?
Class B Fires (oil, grease) and Class C Fires (electrical)
Where is the ELT located?
In lavatory, right ceiling panel.
How is the ELT powered?
ELT is powered by its own internal battery.
How is the ELT activated?
ELT activation occurs after 5G impact.
How long will the ELT signal transmit for?
Will transmit digital signal for 24 hours.
What are the crew responsibilities for checking the ELT?
Make sure the ELT is there and set to armed.
On the ELT switch, how is the LED light powered?
Hot Bus 1
What is the O2 Deploy Tool?
A tool that is used to manually open the dispensing unit for the oxygen mask in case the opening mechanism malfunctions.
What is the flow of passengers regarding the emergency evacuation?
The flow of passengers will be forward, away from the engines.
Do we have infant life vests? Where are they located?
Yes. We have 6 infant life vests located in the last overhead bin BC side.
How much breathing time do the passenger oxygen masks provide?
About 10 minutes of breathing time.
How do the passenger oxygen masks work?
Two chemicals are mixed together and the resultant is oxygen.
