Electronics Flashcards
Main parts of an electronic system
Input device - inputs a signal of some sort into the system
Control - deciphers inputs or programs that read certain signals
Output device - outputs information and changes depending on what information is given to it
Input sensor examples
Light dependant resistor - when light falls on it the resistance decreases and vice versa
Thermistor - when temperature increases the resistance decreases and vice versa
Single throw switch - has a button that switches between on and off
Resistor - added to a circuit to change its current
Transistor - is a tiny electronic switch, it has three connections. When a small voltage runs through the base connection it turns it on letting a larger current flow through the connector and out the emitter
Buzzer - makes a sound so is useful in a sensing device to alert someone
