What is an ecosystem?
all the organisms in a habitat and the non living things whihc affect the organisms
What is a community
All the organisms living in a particular area
What is a population?
All the organisms of one species living in the same area
What is a habitat?
place where an organism lives
What is biodiversity?
The variety of species in an ecosytem
What is a niche?
the role an organism plays within a community
What are different niches?
the use organisms make of resources such as light and food, the way organisms interact with other organisms, the conidtions an organism can tolerate
What is a feature of offspring which proves that the parents are different species?
They cannot produce fertile offspring
What is interspecific competition?
When individuals of different species compete for one or a few of the resources they require
What is intraspecific competition?
When individuals of the same species compete for all the resources they require
What is a species?
a group of organisms that can interbreed and produce fertile offspring
