She had a german background making russia distrust her, her close relationship with the scandalous Rasputin, and she didn’t work with the duma replacing proper ministers with men who were loyal to rasputin but incompetent leading to no one organizing supplies to cities or frontlines. Finally it seemed that she and rasputin were lovers thus rasputin running Russia.

A

Yes, 1916 winter was very bad and oads were iced they couldn’t deliver supplies. Queses for bread took hours, increasing death rates due to inadequate diet, many were dying due to bad conditions. Creating a big possibility for proliterian take over.

Workers in the cities had progressed from merely food and fuel changes they wanted political change.

A

7th march a 40,000 worker strike for higher wages

8th march national womens day, thousands of women on the street in demonstration.

Following these thousands of workers joined demanding food, fuel, and also a new government. They were crushed by force by the tsar
