ECG changes Flashcards
Atrial fibrillation?
Irregularly irregular
Absent/inconsistent P wave on ECG
Wolf Parkinson syndrome?
Delta wave is slurred upwards due to ventricular pre-excitation and shortened PR interval (<0.12ms)
Atrial flutter?
Saw tooth ECG
Heart block - prolonged PR interval?
1st degree
Heart block - Mobitz 1?
2nd degree
Progressive PR prolongation leading to dropped QRS
Heart block - Mobitz 2?
2nd degree
Common ratio 2:1, 3:1, 4:1
Constant PR interval or Random and QRS complex drop
3rd degree heart block?
No PR interval and complete dissociation between the P wave and QRS
Atrial fibrosis?
Low altitude P wave
Broad QRS complex?
Conduction delay
Small QRS complex?
Pericardial effusion and obese patient
Tall QRS complex?
Thin patient , Left ventricular hypertrophy
QT interval slow and rapid repolarization is indicative of?
Arrhythmogenic
MI, pericarditis, myocarditis, early repolarisation?
ST segment elevation
Saddle shaped ST and PR depression?
Pericarditis
Inverted T wave can indicate?
MI (hypertrophy), ischemia/infarction, cardiomyopathy
