A

1: persistent restriction of energy intake leading to significantly low body weight in the context of that person
2: an intense fear of gaining weight or becoming fat, or engaging in persistent behaviours that interfere with weight gain
3: disturbance in the way ones body weight or shape is experienced, lack of recognition of serioussness of low body weight, undue influence of body shape and weight on ones self evaluation

A

recurrent episodes of binge eating
recurrent inappropriate compensatory behaviours in order to prevent weight gain
both the binge eating and the inappropriate behaviours must occur on average at least once a week for three months
self evaluation is unduly influenced by body shape and weight

eating in a discrete period an amount of food that is larger than most would eat in a similar period under similar circumstance
or a sense of lack of control over eating during the episode

recurrent episodes of binge eating.
the episodes are associated with three or more of the following: eating more rapidly than normal, eating until uncomfortably full, eating large amounts when not hungry, eating alone due to embarrassment of the amount one is eating, feeling disgusted or depressed or ashamed after the period of eating
distress about the episodes of binge eating is present
at least once a week for three months
IS NOT associated with inappropriate compensatory behaviours.
