16
Q

A

a biopsy on antral mucosa is placed in medium with urea and an indicator

17
Q

What happens in CLO test if H. pylori is present

A

The urease produced by the H. pylori hydrolyses urea to ammonia
this raises the pH of the medium
colour change from yellow (-ve) to red (+ve)
