Morophine Sulfate

A

Opioid Narctoric
Indi:moderate to severe PN, Chest PN (cardiac), Pulmonary Edema from CHF with or without Chest Pain, burns
Contra-ALOC, Unknown abdominal PN, Respiratory depression, Head Injury, hypovolemia
Dose-1-10mg IV titrated to effect, 5-10 IM single dose. Peds .1-.2 mg/kg slow IVP or .1mg/kg IM Adult Pulmonary Edema- 5-10mg slow IVP 2mg/MIN

Naloxone

A

aka-Narcan-narcotic(opiate) Antagonist Indi:narcotic OD with inadequate respirations Contra-not to be used if pt has adequate respirations
Adult-1-2mg IV/IM/IN Titrate prn 5 min
Peds .1mg/kg prn 5 min

A

Nitorlingual, Nitrostat, Nitrobid, Tridil Vasodilator, Nitrate, antianginal
Indi-CP of cardiac origin, acute pulmonary edema
Contra-BPs who took ED drugs in last 24-48hrs, S&S of Head Trauma ICP or cerebral hemorrhage,Poor systemic perfusion Dose-.4mg spray or tablet prn 3-5min Nitropaste-15mg per one inch Not 4 kids

A

Antiemetic, 5ht3 seratonin receptor antagonist Indi: N/V, chemo, radiation, anesthesias Contra:use caution in pt’s with hepatic impairment
Dose: 4mg IVP 2-5 min Peds .1mg/kg
