Lidocaine Hydrochloride

A

Antidysrhythmic, local anesthetic Indi:vetricular dysrhythmias, symptomatic PVC’s, monomorphic V-Tach, drip post cardiac conversion
Contra-2nd Type 2 Mobitz, 3rd degree, Junctional Brady, Ventricular ectopy with Brady, Idioventricular rhythm
Dose V-Tach 1-1.5mg/kg to a max of 3mg/kg Peds- 1mg/kg max 3mg/kg Ventricular Ectopy Post Conversion- 1mg/kg slow IVP prn @.5mg/kg 5-10min 3max (50mg/min) Peds- 1mg/kg slow IVP prn @1mg/kg 3 max (50mg/min)

lorazapam

A

aka Ativan Benzo, anti-anxiety, sedative
Indi: status epilepticus, sedation prior 2 cardioversion, anxiety
Contra: Pregnancy/nursing mothers, caution in shock, acute alcohol intox, suicidal pt’s, depressed respirations
Dose: Sedate Cardiov-2-4mg IM or .5-2mg IV Peds_.03-.05mg/kg IV/IM/PR max 4mg Seizure-2mg slowIVP prn 1/2 dose 2 min Peds-.1mg/kg slow IVP prn 1/2 dose 2-5 min

Mag Sulfate

A

electrolyte, antidysrhythmic, anticonvulsant, CNS depressant
Indi-Refractory to VFIB/pulseless VTACH Torsades, Seizures due to Eclampsia & alcohol withdrawal, Digoxin toxicity(dysrhythmias), bronchospasms refractory to traditional Meds.
Contra-cardiogenic shock, heart blocks
Dose-1-4gm in 50-100ml solution IVP Peds 20-50 mg in 50-100ml of saline IVPB mas 2g

A

aka-Versed benzo, amnesic agent, sedative/hypnotic, anticonvulsant, tranq, anti anxiety
Indi:seizures, premed for sync cardio/TCP,premed RSI
Contra: acute narrow glaucoma, hypovolemic shock, hypotx from hypovolemia, alcohol or drug intoxication
Dose- Seizure-Adults and Peds .1mg/kg slow IVP, or .2mg/kg IM max 5mg Sync Cardio/TCP- 1-2.5mg slow IVP
