- Monthly progress meetings as a minimum enable all project parties to be informed of changes and give them an opportunity to advise on how their respective discipline may be impacted.

- On UPS I worked on a traditional contract with a high level of change.
- I worked with an immediate QS/PM team as well as AECOM design team and also had to

- contractor to agree and report on change.

How partnering and collaborative working affected the team –
- Wrexham project – Main contractor having cashflow issues. Could have created an adversarial relationship and been critical of their performance under the contract.
- However, a collaborative / supportive approach was adopted as believed would lead to best outcome for all project stakeholders.

Supply chain management –
- Advance payments by client entering into agreement between supplier, contractor and client.

- advanced design to facilitate early decisions to enable material procurement.
