Tell me about an example of where you have worked well in a team.

A

I have worked well in a number of teams, at Connect I would sit with colleagues from other departments to ensure the needs of the tenants were met by sharing what we had seen on the estates

They are far more able to understand and respond to the needs of their clients as they are able to learn from others perspectives and experience and countering preconceptions

What are the differences between diversity and inclusion?

A

Put simply, diversity is about the what – it focuses on the makeup of your workforce. Inclusion, on the other hand, is about the how – the creation of a work environment and culture that enables all employees to participate and thrive.

A

It can be thinks like access to text to speak, ensuring colour blind people can read written communication, access to large text, access to those who may struggle with the spoken word, it could be use of pronouns

A

They are attitudes towards others that are held subconciously and affect how we feel about them. We can reduce them by being concious of the bias and questioning yourself and others and creating a space for open dialogue

A

My current employer doesn’t really have them, however at LCC we had a policy of being an inclusive employer, we promoted diversity and celebrated key events and shared information through newsletters

A

It was introduced to encourage a more inclusive and diverse workforce, firms sign up and commit to improving diversity with the 4 principles of leadership, recruitment, culture and development and monitoring performance

Forming, storming, norming, performing and adjourning. It discusses how the team relationships develop over time and how you can help the team to perform better

A

It’s a behavioural test and shows the one of 9 roles a person develop within a team based on their personality. There are roles such as Resource Investigator, Teamworker, Co-ordinator, shaper, implementor, monitor

Explain Maslow’s hierarchy of needs.

A

Maslow’s hierarchy of needs isa theory of motivation which states that five categories of human needs dictate an individual’s behavior. Those needs are physiological needs, safety needs, love and belonging needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization needs and if we are unable to move up then we may feel stuck and unmotivated

It’s covered by rule 4 which requires members to treat others with respect and encourage equality and diversity
