Q

• You mentioned its essential to have good teamwork as part of a team. If you had a consultant who wasn’t a team player. How would you manage this?

A

Speak to them privately to see if there is any issues within the team or with them at work. If not explain to them that their behaviour has an impact on the team. Try to encourage them to join in. Speak to client about potentially replacing them if I feel it would be a benefit of the team

Q

• Are you aware of any other management theories

A

Yes I am aware of Hertzberg’s motivational factors and Belbin team roles – Hertzberg’s motivation factors are split into hygiene factors. Hygiene factors such as wages, working condition, colleagues have the power to make you non motivational at work but motivational factors such as praise and career growth have the opportunity to encourage you to work harder and motivate you
