Humans are causing biodiversity to:
- loss of food supply
- loss of natural medicines
- impact of tourism/ forests
- ruin biosystems
How do you classify diversity?
biological classification can help classify organisms through the grouping of defined characters
for example: producers, consumers, and decomposers.
What is taxonomy?
Science of identifying and classifing organisms
they are identified by morphology, behaviour, DNA or location
Who is Carl Linnaeus?
Father of taxnonomy
Created the naming system ( binomial nomenclature) for plants and animals through morphology or physical characters
How Can We Classify animals?
We can calssiy through the dichotomous key, which group living things through characters
What is the Dichotomous Key?
Give you two options- means two parts
Using constant charatertics, positive word choice, measurements, simular structure words and description of animals (full name)
