Generalized amnesia
A pattern of dissociative amnesia. It is a failure to recall specific events, usually traumatic that occur during a specific period.
Localized or Selective amnesia
A subtype of Dissociative amnesia. It means “flight’. Individuals just take off and later find themselves in a new place, unable to remember why they got there. A person sometimes assumes a new identity or atleast becomes confused about the old identity.
