Epidermal blister: separation of the layers of the epidermis.. pemphigus
Subepidermal: separation of the layers of the epidermis and dermis… bullous pemphigoid

To separate epidermal from subepidermal blisters
Positive if you can grow the blister.. this is seen in epithelial blisters as they are more fragile

Infiltration by igg into epidermis attacking desmosomes linking keratinocytes

Painful flacid blisters of mucous membranes and skin
