Depersonalization/Derealization Disorder
Experiences reality (present and can have conversations, but report feeling outside of their body and in a dream-like state. They don’t feel connected to reality. the world feels surreal.
Dissociative Amnesia
A person has a sudden forgetting of their pertinent personal information. Usually occurs in times of extreme stress or shock (natural disaster, war zone). Usually in times of extreme stress or shock. Can get this with Acute Stress Disorder
Dissociative Identity Disorder
Popularly called multiple personality disorder. (Rare) 2 or more distinct personality states. They can’t remember the other state. Usually as a response to extreme trauma or physical/sexual abuse. They cannot remember another state when they switch to another.
