1) Use top pan balance to measure mass of object
2) Fill eureka can with water to in line with just below the spout and place measuring cylinder underneath spout
3) Carefully place object inside eureka can which should cause water to move out of spout into measuring cylinder (be displaced into measuring cylinder)
4) record volume of water in measuring cylinder- this is equal to volume of object
5) calculate density bu doing mass / volume
