“’s Avonds” is used for evening times (from about 6:00 PM until midnight).
The movie starts at 8:30 PM.
De film begint om half negen ’s avonds.
“Half negen” means 8:30 in Dutch. Note that it means half-past 8, so 30 minutes before 9.
