A revealed text.
What does Dao mean?
Creative energy of the world that bring the world into being and renews it. Guides everything.
What does Wuwei mean?
non-action. don’t try to control everything, let things be simple.
What is philosophical daoism?
learning isn’t important but going with the flow is. wants to return to the past.
What is religious daoism?
Emphasized the supernatural. Focused on improving your Qi (life energy).
What are the 3 centers of life?
breath, semen and spirit
Who is the Jade Emperor?
The supreme god.
Who was Zhuangzi?
Focus on living according to the Dao, human intervention messes everything up. Experience is the most important.
What is the Celestial Master School?
Believed that Lao Tzu would return. People had to repent for spiritual healing.
