- Use the restricted code which would disadvantage them as it means they are capped at certain levels
e.g wont be able to understand a teacher or textbooks

A
- middle class parents have a more pro school attitude and place more value on education
- parents would have had a better education

- more likely to not value education and would have had a lower level of education and qualification so they wouldn’t care as much

- thinking about the future and planning ahead e.g thinking about uni, future jobs - individualism
- knowing YOU are the determining factor and knowing it is all down to you and need to do your best - encourages people to do more homework and revision
