- consider transport or treat and refer

If inadequate response:
- Transport

  • Naloxone 100mcg IV
  • > repeat Naloxone 100mcg IV @ 2 mins (Max 2mg) until pt is self-ventilating

Mild to moderate OD:

  • Drowsiness, confusion
  • tachycardia
  • slurred speech
  • hyperreflexia
  • ataxia
  • mild hypertension
  • dry mucous membranes
  • respiratory depression

Severe toxicity:

  • coma
  • respiratory depression
  • hypoventilation
  • PVCs
  • SVT
  • VT
  • Hypotension
  • Seizures
  • ECG changes
