Q

Name 3 different ways of preventing rust

A

creating a barrier (keep out water ,oxygen)
(painting-colourful as well)
Oiling/Greasing for moving parts -bicycle chain

Sacrificial protection -involves placing a more reactive metal with iron ,the water reacts with the sacrificial metal instead of with the object protecting

Q

Galvanising meaning

Name one object that is galvanisied

A
example of (sp)zinc put on to an iron object to prevent rusting .More reactive than iron so lose electrons and corrode in preference to iron.
