Verbal, meetings and presentations, letters, memos, emails, reports, team messaging, construction documents

Better understanding, stronger relationships, faster problem-solving, and improved collaboration, making tasks easier and more productive for everyone involved
What are the barriers to effective communication?
Verbal monotone delivery, overuse of technical language, emotions, international language barriers, disinterest and adversarial relationhip, bias, interuptions, background noise, poor call quality
What are your thoughts on emails?
Carry same legal value as letters, therefore must be careful on content.
Fast way to communicate, however maintain professional communication, make sure correct recipients
What makes a successful negotiation?
Preparation and collating of documents
Both parties should be given chance to present in calm forum
Identify bargain positions
A swift confirmation in writing of what was agreed and what needs to be done
A confirmation of next steps to close negotiation
What are the key steps when preparing for negotation?
Notification, internal research and documentation, organisation of meeting.
What happens during a negotiation meeting?
Both parties allowed to discuss their position, maintain professionalism and calmness, Both should honor agreements, Put all agreed items in writing
How did you communicate in teams when delivering?
I prepare for documents and short brief. Conduct kickoff meeting to address team goal, expectations, work assignments, and line of communication, documents required. Have a recurring catchup meeting whenever necessary.
How did you apply negotiation in DGDA Diriyah Square P3?
When conducting negotiation with suppliers, I prepared all the documents for the provide necessary cost information such as NDA, drawings, specifications, pricing schedule. I also sought specialists’ advise on obtaining cost efficient and readily available alternatives on mud bricks.
