-The author does not give his name though he says he’s a doctor of law and a member of the royal council
-He is critical of Richard III, it’s possible he was influenced by Tudor propaganda
Dominic Mancini
-Italian cleric and humanist who probably came to England in the summer or autumn of 1482 as part of diplomatic mission
-the manuscript mainly follows interest of 3 months following the death of Edward IV, including comments on Edward as king, his courts and politics of the last years in his second reign
-be cautious when using Mancini as it’s likely he spoke no English and is suspectable to propaganda. He has hazy Remberance of events and his chronology is not perfect
