What is the care plan for making an occupied bed?

I. Change the top sheet, bottom sheet and pillowcase while the resident remains on the bed

How do you remove the bottom sheet?

I. Ask the patient to scoot towards you and have them roll towards either side
II. Remove bottom sheet and roll it tightly towards the patient
III. Tuck it underneath the patient all along their body
IV. Take the new clean sheet and attach it to the corners
V. Roll the clean sheet tightly and tuck it under the patient
VI. Ask the patient to come back onto their back and scoot towards you on the other side

Secure the top sheet by lifting the mattress and tucking it under lifting top edge of the sheet straight up forming a triangle and tucking everything else under
