Co-amoxiclav, clarithromycin, IV/oral vancomycin; which one do you use and why?

A

Oral vancomycin - vancomycin is useful in treating C.diff but IV vancomycin cannot cross bowel wall so oral is necessary

Co-amoxiclav isn’t used to treat C.diff and can cause it
Clarithromycin isn’t used to treat C.diff
