They feed on insects, although some feed on leaves & meat
They regulate their body temperature behaviourally, they shuttle between sunny and shady places when they need to warm up or cool down
They are less than 15cm long but the Komodo dragon(Varanus Komodoensis) grow to nearly 3m.
It occupies a wide range of habitats but they are commonly found in deserts and the tropics
The skin is composed of overlapping, keratinized scales that protect dehydration
