How do you take blood pressure?

A
  • The cuff must be placed on the upper arm above the brachial site
    -Touch the brachial site then place the stethoscope over the pulse
  • Inflate cuff to approximately 180-200mmhg
    -Release air and listen for first heartbeat (systolic pressure)
  • Release air and listen for the last or softest heartbeat (Diastolic)
  • Record results: Systolic/Diastolic

-Position your hands on the center of the upper chest and your shoulders directly over your hands elbows locked
- 30 compressions (100-120 per minute)
- Open airway and give two breaths
- Repeat
