Providing the contextual information needed to make sense out of something that is signed or said to someone with different schema or experiential base

Proficient in both Deaf culture and ASL
Helper Model
Views interpreters as caretakers whose purpose is to help
Conduit or Machine Model
Interpreters only there to facilitate language, no cultural mediation, values professionalism
Communication Facilitation Model
More aware of visual intake for the Deaf client but still sees ASL as less than English
Bi-Bi Ethical Decision making
