World War II changed radio into more of a media outlet of entertainment. It also gave people their need for instant news. Television also helped change radio and recorded music by a different way to promote these radio stations and their music. (Ex. MTV)

Many Televisions have music apps where you can listen to radio stations and music in general. Computers and digitization have affected radio in a bit more negative ways. Through computers and digitization you have downloads and streaming. Many people rather streaming to radio stations.

A

Streaming audio is listeners being able to play a song without instantly, no waiting for download or for it to play on the radio. Instant. Many times streaming audio is also free or free with ads/subscriptions.
