Preeclampsia
Pregnancy induced hypertension. After 30th week. Symptoms: headache, seeing spots, edema, and anxiety
Eclampsia
Convulsions (seizures) due to hypertension. Treatment: Left lateral position, give O2
Supine Hypotension Syndrome
Woman becomes hypotensive when lying supine due to a gravid (big) baby, and gravid uterus.baby crushes the inferior vena cava, reducing blood flow.
Ectopic Pregnancy
pregnancy outside of uterus, normally fallopian tube. If burst can cause a lot of bleeding
Abruptio Placenta
Abrupt detachment of the placenta. Very painful, often caused by hypertension.
Placenta Previa
The placenta develops over the opening of cervix. baby can crush it and make it bleed, but not very painful.
Gestational Diabetes
Diabetes caused by pregnancy.
