A combination of two or more substances that are not chemically combined (pizza, Chex mix)

A machine that separates mixtures by the densities of the components
What is a solute
A substance that disables in a solvent
What is a solvent
A substance in which a solute dissolves
What is a suspension
A mixture in which particles of a material are more or less evenly dispersed throughout a liquid or gas
What is distillation
A process that separates a mixture based on boiling points of the components
What is a solution
A homogeneous mixture of two or more substances uniformly dispersed throughout a single phase
What is concentration
Amount of a substance in a given quantity of a mixture, solution, or ore
What is solubility
Ability of one substance to dissolve in another at a given temperature and pressure
What is a colloid
Mixture consisting of tiny particles that are intermediate in size between those in solutions and those suspensions
What is the solvent in salt water
Water
