Overall Organization of psychological characteristics
Disposition?
broad pervasive encompassing way of relating to particular types of people or situations. Ex: person with cheerful disposition means cheerful and upbeat no matter who they talk to.
What is state?
Momentary feelings and thoughts that change depending on the situation and time.
Trait approach?
People have certain traits that influence beviour
What is Digmans Big five model?

Explain the profile of mood states. What does it assess?
It is a unstable personality test, used in sport personality research. It asses six discrete affective states: Tension-anxiety, Depression-dejection, anger-hostility, fatigue, vigour, and confusion-bewilderment
Two types of perfectionsim, explain both
Maladaptive perfectionism: Excessive, unrealistic standards, high doubt, fear of failure.
Adaptive perfectionismL Realistic goal setting, judging success through personal improvement and effort .
