Q

What are the five categories of sensory defectors and what do they detect?

A

Thermoreceptors - sense heat
Mechanoreptors - senses mechanical energy such as touch, pressure, stretching, motion, and sound
Chemoreceptors - sense blood oxygen and carbon dioxide
Electromagnetic receptors - sense energy through electricity, wave lengths of light or magnetism
Nociceptors - detect pain
