Explain the differences between an open and closed circulatory system a give an example of each.

Open circulatory system - means that the blood like fluid is not contained in vessels and the organs are floating
Closed circulatory system - enclosed in vessels
Example: open- grasshopper closed- birds

Acquire nutrients, exchange gases, and dispose of waste

Oxygenated blood - arteries, arteriolar, and capillaries
